A little illustration. A lot of possibility.
Turn the Macs around you into one synced music system. Play from Spotify, YouTube Music, Apple Music, or your usual music app on one Mac. OfficeParty brings the other speakers along for the ride.
Start a party in OfficeParty. Pick your music app, queue up something good, and press play. Your playlists stay right where they are.
YOU’RE THE DJFriends open OfficeParty on their Macs and join your party on the same Wi-Fi. No extra speakers to buy. No music accounts to share.
BYO MACEvery Mac plays together, in sync. Spread them around the room, set each speaker’s volume from your Mac, and let the good times get louder.
ONE ROOM. ONE GROOVE.The group chat doesn’t need another plan.
It needs someone to press play.
It’s Friday. Your only remaining deliverable is a banger.
A few friends, a few unfinished projects, and one shared soundtrack. Let’s see what ships tonight.
A Tuesday. Three friends. Absolutely enough of an occasion.
A few friends. A few Macs. A song worth turning up.
That’s your whole guest list sorted.

v0.8.0 preview
One thing before the music: this preview isn’t notarized yet. On first launch, macOS may ask you to approve OfficeParty in System Settings → Privacy & Security.
Yes. OfficeParty streams over your local network. Everyone needs the app installed, built-in speakers selected, and their Mac awake with the lid open.
Yes. Choose Music or the browser playing YouTube Music as the host’s source. The selected browser’s other audio is shared too, so keep those extra tabs quiet. Choose songs and press play in the source app.
Magically held together by some fancy engineering on a Friday night before Diwali. ✨ A little clock-sync wizardry, a shared two-second buffer, and a very strong desire to get the party started. That buffer gives every Mac time to play together—and adds a small delay when you hit play, pause, or skip.
Absolutely. Click Copy invite in the app or menu bar and share the message. With OfficeParty installed, the link opens the app and joins your party on the same network. If your chat app doesn’t make it clickable, copy the message and use Paste invite in OfficeParty.
This preview is for Apple Silicon Macs running macOS 14.4 or newer, using their built-in speakers. Intel Macs, phones, and external speakers aren’t supported.
A version-pinned installer is available with the release. Download and inspect it before running it; it installs into your Applications folder inside your home directory. Homebrew installation is coming once the public tap is live.
Download install script ↗Friday evening. Four of us, six Macs. Two of us proudly rocking two laptops each. 😎 Agam queued up, a few other bands next. Not a speaker in sight.
We build security products for a living. Surely we could get a few laptops to sing together? Famous last words. Not.
A bit of tinkering later, the whole room was playing. And it sounded too good to keep to ourselves.
So here it is. From our team to yours.
No bill. Just good music.
